General recommendations
Several integrated accounts can be specified in Komfortkasse. We recommend that you also enter these accounts as separate accounts in your accounting, e.g. bank accounts or accounts with payment service providers such as paypal. Every booking on the Komfortkasse accounts is recorded in the bookings menu item, these should be transferred to your accounting as bookings. The transactions can also be downloaded for this purpose. In addition to postings, the bookings also contain all other transactions such as fees, withdrawals, etc.
Until the monthly invoice is created, bookings can be changed or postponed in exceptional cases, e.g. due to subsequent billing of fees or changes to the valuation date. We therefore recommend that transactions are not posted until the monthly invoice has been received. If no invoice is issued, we recommend posting the transaction after the 5th of the following month.
Assignment of withdrawals to postings or fees
Withdrawals can be executed at any time in any amount. Therefore, there is no link between e.g. a postings or a fee booking and a withdrawal. A withdrawal has no "content" or "underlying bookings", but represents an independent transaction on the merchant account. We therefore recommend booking withdrawals in the same way. Balance confirmation
If an account balance is required at a specific timestamp, e.g. at the end of the year, a balance confirmation can be downloaded directly from the Komfortkasse merchant area. To do this, select the Download balance confirmation action in the Settings - Accounts menu.
The balance confirmation can only be created once the corresponding period has been closed in our system. This is normally the case on the 5th of the following month at the latest. (A balance confirmation for December 31 is therefore available from around January 5)
Legal information
Komfortkasse is not a bank or payment institution. Legally speaking, Komfortkasse is a collection agency. Our integrated accounts are held with the account-holding banks as collective trust accounts.
