If a shop is newly set up or the shop system is changed (or an incompatible release change is made), we recommend the following procedure.
Background
Komfortkasse reads orders from the shop system. When the shop is reset, these orders are usually no longer available. If the orders are migrated/imported into the new shop, orders may exist twice. This can lead to problems with the assignment of payments.
Recommended procedure
A new shop should be created in Komfortkasse. The connection to the existing (old) shop should be separated. The URL of the existing shop can be renamed (e.g. "alt.meinshop.de", "meinshop.de_alt" or similarity).
The new shop should be created as a new shop in Komfortkasse and the connection should be reconnected. If orders are transferred/imported from the old shop to the new shop, the connection should only be established after all orders have been imported. Otherwise, Payment information for these orders may be sent again.
If multiple bank accounts are used and an explicit assignment of bank accounts to shops has been made, the new shop should be added to the assignment before it is connected.
Overview
An overview of the recommended steps:
- Disconnect the connection to the old shop
- Change to the URL of the old shop
- Add new shop
- Establish shop connection to the new shop
Parallel operation
It is also possible to keep the old shop running in parallel operation for a transitional period. This is usually done on a different domain or subdomain. In this case, we recommend the following procedure:
- Disconnect the connection to the old shop
- Change to the URL of the old shop
- Establish shop connection to the old shop again
- Add a new shop
- Establish shop connection to the new shop
In this case, payments received for orders in the old shop would be regularly assigned to the order in the old shop and transferred to the shop.
If the old and new shop are operated in parallel and orders are also transferred/imported from the old shop to the new shop, this would lead to problems with the assignment without further precautions, as the same order number now exists in both the old and the new shop. In this case, we recommend marking the old shop as a "test/development system" so that no assignment is made for the shop
